Clear answers for
a serious decision.
Understand the service, workflow, responsibilities, and subscription rules before you put GovCapture Desk behind your pipeline.
Is GovCapture Desk another bid database?+
No. It is a managed federal contracting service supported by a client portal. Our team researches and curates federal contract opportunities, then coordinates selected proposals through a visible workflow.
Who is the service designed for?+
Solo federal contractors and firms with roughly 2–10 employees that have defined capabilities but limited internal capture and proposal capacity.
Do you work on state or local opportunities?+
No. GovCapture Desk focuses exclusively on federal contract opportunities. State and local opportunities are outside the service.
Do you guarantee contract awards?+
No. Awards depend on federal agency needs, competition, pricing, qualifications, compliance, evaluation, and many factors outside our control. We provide process, curation, and proposal support—not an award guarantee.
Do you submit proposals for clients?+
No. Your company remains responsible for final validation and submission to the federal agency. You download the finalised proposal and submit through the required channel.
How many curated opportunities do I receive?+
The Standard plan includes three GovCapture Desk-reviewed federal opportunities per billing period. If fewer than three are delivered, the shortfall carries forward until fulfilled.
How are opportunities matched?+
We use your capabilities, NAICS codes, certifications, target federal agencies, contract range, geography, vehicles, past performance, and stated exclusions. Every delivered match includes a fit rationale.
Can I reject an opportunity?+
Yes. Choose Not Interested and provide a short reason. That feedback helps our capture team make future curation more precise.
What if I need more information before deciding?+
Choose Request More Information and send your question in the portal. The opportunity remains open while the GovCapture Desk team investigates.
How do proposal credits work?+
Every successful monthly payment adds three proposal credits. Credits roll over without a maximum while your subscription remains active.
How many proposals can be completed each month?+
The Standard plan permits up to three completed standard proposals in a billing month, even if your rolled-over credit balance is higher.
What does the proposal workflow include?+
An opportunity-specific checklist, requested inputs and pricing uploads, internal quality review, versioned proposal PDFs, client review, general revision requests, finalisation, and a controlled reopen path through messaging.
Can a finalised proposal be reopened?+
Yes. Send a message to the GovCapture Desk team explaining what changed. Our internal operations team can reopen the workflow and release a revised version.
Are specialist or highly complex proposals included?+
The Standard workflow is designed for standard proposals. Unusually complex submissions, specialist reviews, legal advice, or extensive custom production may require a separate scope.
What does the service cost?+
Choose $1,499 month-to-month or $14,990 prepaid annually. Annual billing includes twelve monthly service cycles for the price of ten.
How does annual billing affect service delivery?+
Annual members still receive three curated opportunities and three proposal credits during each monthly service cycle. The annual payment changes billing frequency, not the monthly delivery rhythm.
What can I store in the document library?+
Common reusable materials include capability statements, SAM.gov registration, socioeconomic certifications, federal past-performance examples, and compliance files. Pricing and personnel materials are requested only when a pursuit needs them.
Can clients see the internal operations portal?+
No. Clients receive a dedicated client workspace. The GovCapture Desk operations portal and private internal notes are restricted to authorized team members.
What happens if I cancel?+
Your account becomes read-only after the paid membership term. You keep historical access to delivered opportunities, messages, checklists, and proposal files, but cannot use credits or start new work.
How is payment handled?+
The billing architecture uses Stripe Checkout and a Stripe customer portal. Subscription status and successful payments control access and membership terms, while opportunity and credit releases follow each monthly service cycle.
